Hemionitis arifolia, the Heart Fern, is a tuft-forming, evergreen fern displaying glossy green, heart-shaped fronds on black stems. Fertile fronds with arrowhead-shaped leaves stand above the foliage.

Ferns thrive in neutral to acidic, loose, richly organic soil. Prefers bright, filtered sunlight and is excellent as a houseplant, in a terrarium, or in a seasonal container.
